Its really hard to teach yourself stuff, especially just after exams.

My tips are:

1. Have a rest and recharge your brain otherwise you will be fatigued and jaded when you start otherwise
2. Get a job and earn money so you can afford things like stationery and books, especially revision ones.
3. If you really must then you can read your set texts for English literature and start to get a feel for how the books work. Watch the plat on TV or any films of the books as well.

I wouldnt do much more than that or you will burn out.
You can have a quick scan of the revision books you buy.
