Why isn't it? We're not talking about adults here. The legislation is aimed at the protection of minors.

This is what I can't stand about libertarians - they think that everyone should be exposed to anything because they want to be.

This legislation is retarded. Most teens seek this kind of thing out and the fact that they're defining adult as 18 in this matter is beyond a joke. Biologically, adulthood is achieved before 18 in many cases (the ability to procreate) and therefore you're going to see people of that age wanting to view this kind of material. Kind of suppressing any freedom that is left in this country.

Then again, this verification will be a joke. Anybody with a brain knows how to get around this kind of thing. It's like how you're supposed to be over 18 to play GTA, yet my parents bought that for me when I was like 7 years old (as I'm sure many other people's did).

But it seems to me that the solution to this would be to provide proper sex and relationship education that acknowledges that sex is fun but also talks about loving relationships of all hues and colours.

If there's a will, there's a way.

The obvious solution is to link it to National Insurance records, but then the libertarians would be shouting about big brother.

People need to get real and stop imagining the internet is some kind of modern mockup version of Dodge City and that anything goes. It doesn't.

Tons of porn, we used it in uni halls to bypass their stupid porn block.
