Same.
If one of your parents earn over 80k, then it makes sense to support tories. (Not the hard brexit bit - brexit is still stupid imo)

What led you to make those choices?

I would have preferred Boris Johnson as leader rather than May since she didn't support Leave in the referendum. But because she seemed to support a hard Brexit I voted for her. I think she made a big mistake with the early election but she is still much better than Jeremy Corbyn.

Neither of my parents earn above 30k a year. Conservatives support hard brexit and it is the rich that have the most to lose from a hard brexit.

do you think she is superior to all the other leaders for the most recent election... all she does is make u-turns ... she announced this election so she could get a mandate and she DEFINITELY did not get that mandate.... she lost some of her voters to the Labour party... should she resign???

Do you have no concern for the economic impact a hard Brexit is going to have on London and the UK? We will have no passporting rights to sell financial services to the EU any more, which is a major component of our GDP. It will also mean banks and financial institutions will flee the country like they're already doing. http://www.cityam.com/257302/ubs-have-move-bankers-out-london-because-brexit

Do you have no concern for the rest of our industries that rely heavily on EU immigrants? Industries like tech, science and academia employ a high percentage of Europeans. Even if you say EU academics are allowed to come and work here, what makes you think they will want to come to our GDP-sunken Brexitland?

Do you agree with Theresa May's proposals to ban encryption? This would eventually mean that your bank details, chat history and many more things can be easily hacked. Add to that the silly proposal to require porn websites to ask for bank details and you have a credit card theft bonanza.

I believe in aspiration - that you can become successful through hard work in life and that those who are more successful in life should not be taxed at a far higher rate than those who do not make any effort to work. I also believe that the United Kingdom should not be part of the EU and should be an independent nation state. Therefore I support the conservatives.
This may be a little judgemental and a generalisation but I just can't help but feel people who vote Tory only do it in completely their own interest- which I suppose is solely how some choose who they vote for, but I just can't help but feel it is very selfish. Many people totally rely on Labour for welfare and to live. But that is just my opinion, I guess and I appreciate everybody is entitled to their own. I really do not understand young people voting Tory, like at all.

Fair enough, I agree with you on some grounds about taxation and all even if I don't agree about Brexit. However, I respect the fact that you can actually justify why you're a Tory; not many people can in an, colloquially speaking, 'educational' manner.

tbf i voted for the conservatives in the election, (wasn't any point though considering out MP is probably one of the well known in the labor party) due to my dislike of JC he BS's far too much and as a student i don't like his main argument being 'fairness' for every question and the delusion he's feeding in the fact he wants to have access to the single currency, like bruv please. On the other hand i'm a remainer, still think its dumb to leave but we are still leaving so no point b*tching.

This may be a little honest but people who vote labour are generally stupid

Do you believe in a National Health Service and free 4-18 education? And if so, how could you, as a Conservative, believe in even lower taxes and also at the same time, reduce borrowing AND pay for these public services?

She was far more qualified and suitable for the job of prime minister than the other party leaders and had previous experience as home secretary to be a good prime minister. I agree that she did make a lot of U-turns and that her campaign could have been much better. As the conservatives received more votes than labour she should not resign as she still won.

Why do you want a hard Brexit? I can appreciate why some people would want to leave the EU but remain part of the Single Market/Customs Union, but why you want to damage our economy by cutting ties with Europe?

And why did you want to leave the EU in the first place? Immigration? Sovereignty? I'm just genuinely curious, and want to try and understand where you're coming from.

Assuming you think we should make trade deals with other countries after Brexit, what makes you think they would offset the damage that leaving the Single Market would do?

And finally, does it trouble you that the person responsible for carrying out Brexit (i.e Theresa May) voted Remain and probably still secretly thinks that the whole thing is a bad idea?
