What is the difference between Level 2 Btec and Level 3 Btec?

Basically I was enrolling in some college just in case, and there was one option saying 'Applied Science Level 2 BTEC First' and another option was 'Science Level 3 BTEC National' what is the difference?

Level 2 is GCSE level

Level 3 is A level level (although depending on whether you do a certificate, diploma or expended diploma will determine how many A levels it's equivalent to).
