Induction letter prior to results day

Do Uni's usually send out induction letters before results day? Seems a bit strange as what's the point if the terms of their offers aren't met

Yes, they do. The Universities get your results a few days before you do, to allow them time to process things and send letters out.

Yes but if they arrive before results day, it's a break of the embargo.

Hence why they don't send them out until the day beforehand, so they'll either arrive on results day, or the day following.
