sin cosine rule no calculator?- IMAT

is it even possible?

because the IMAT specification outlines sin cosine but the test is non calculator....

and the IMAT tests a level knowledge
Learn table of common angles? You can learn everything.

I can't speak specifically for IMAT, but many maths specifications expect you to know or be able to,work out the exact trig values for 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree angles (including the current GCSE maths). At A level standard you would be expected to use the shapes of the curves to find 120, 135, 150 etc and be able to work with radians. It's also conceivable that if you are given the exact value for one trig ratio of an angle (e.g. tan(x)=3/4), you could use Pythagoras to work out the other two (sin(x)=3/5, cos(x)=4/5).

As part of A level you need to know exact values of these angles. For OCR, applied in C3

Yes it's entirely possible. I've seen some questions, although they were from the AEA, which asked you to find cos(A+sin1(B))\cos(A+\sin^{-1}(B)).
There was a question like that for GCSEs lmao

That kinda stuff is expected. They're really ramping up the difficulty.

In this years summer GCSE exams
Edexcel new 9-1 specfication, paper 1H Q22
AQA new 9-1 specfication, paper 1H Q29
required knowledge of exact values for trig functions without a calculator.
