Why are we obsessed by race?

Dunkirk is supposed to be an incredible WW2 movie that could rival Saving Private Ryan, and here is an article by, I presume a white guy, making it about race.

I know this is only one article, but there are thousands upon thousands of similar ones.

It's because Journalists want their articles to receive attention or it might just be his genuine opinion?
Well, he's got a point. People from all over the British Empire came to fight for Britain - millions of African Americans, African South Africans, Indian Indians, and Aboriginal Australians - including a million Pakistanis who you now slander as rapists - and yet the movies pretend it was only whitey who was brave enough to fight the Nazi's racism.

This is fake history. Whitewashed. Brave men and women who died in their millions to secure your freedom erased from history just because they weren't white.

Why does this fact trigger you?

Its only a movie, why should it matter?
Because the concept of race lead to wars like world war two.

We have to deal with it as a species.

Because it implies that only white people lost their lives fighting for Britain in the war.

Because the cultural battleground is also fought in movies. White supremacists want to brainwash people by presenting an image of the UK as almost exclusively white back in 'the good old days', and image that never existed in reality.

African Americans at Dunkirk? You do realise the US didn't join the war until a year a half later? Those on the beaches would have likely been British, as opposed to from other parts of the empire, meaning they would be overwhelmingly white.
What these wettos don't realise is that their reasoning can be more discriminating on racial grounds than anybody's, they are the racists. There are many people among the ethnic groups who see it too and dearly wish people like Fisk would go talk about something else.

Dunkirk was an excellent film telling the story of a few men, not the entire 400,000 men stuck on that beach.

Dunkirk was an example of strong white British soldiers snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Now lefties want to place ethnics in the film despite having a irrelevant role in WWII.

Next they'll want to see feminist soldiers or LGBT soldiers or transsexual soldiers all in the name of equality despit such groups offering nothing in the effort to defeat left wing fascism.

Dunkirk was hardly a victory... they left all their equipment for the Germans. They abandoned their ally France. And on top of all that, had Hitler not hesitated, he could have absolutely crushed the retreat (it was his racism that let him down - he didn't want to kill more British Aryans when he thought he could make the UK sue for peace).

Exactly.
I doubt it was some conspiracy to erase the ethnic soldiers. Might be naive but I doubt it's that deep.
The story of the brave soldiers brought from the empire can be told anytime but maybe no one has pitched the idea yet.

Anyway, this is just your regular show of people taking offence to not so offensive things and people taking offence to the fact that some people took offence. As is most modern day politics.

France was not much of an ally. Unlike grave Britain they capitulated too easily and earned themselves the title of cheese eating surrender monkeys.

It is already in the games industry. Battlefield 1 for example focuses quite a lot on the Indian and Australian troops. Running around shooting ottomans in your rather stylish combat turban.

Just click bait for ad revenue really.

Well, if there was no one of an ethnic minority shown to be fighting in the film (I've not seen it) then yes.

Because there were lots of racist French who were pro-Nazi, especially in what later became Vichy France.

You sound like the sort of person who would collaborate with the Nazis, if you thought the alternative was communism or progressive liberalism.

Mate, you can thank the Channel for not having had to surrender too. No disrespect to anyone who fought in defence of this country but that is what saved it, without it the Panzers would have just rolled in.

Seems like a bit of a jump, in my opinion. If the film concentrates on a small number of soldiers then one can't really expect it to be representative of all the soldiers present.
