Special: So much for the UK expecting a good trade deal with the US… an increasingly desperate Trump (being the incompetent, nationalist idiot that he is) will use these negotiations to score one of his very few ‘wins’ against an equally desperate Britain that will need to accept any deal it can get. An increasingly inward-looking Trump administration doesn’t need Britain - but an isolated Britain is extremely dependent on the US. Sounds like a great deal!

How are we certain that this wasn't already going to happen? The European Union was never like what we were promised.

If I remember correctly you were the fastest growing developed economy in the world up until June 2016 with an excellent outlook - now look at the state of you...

'Might' and 'could' influence currencies, stock markets, confidence of investors and corporations, elections, exit negotiations... the mere possibility of these things happening (and they're really quite likely if not certain to happen, the media just has to protect itself by using vague terms) is heavily damaging Britain.

Yeah, and once everything has been finalised we will again.

Yeah, sure - because...

(1) ...negotiations with the EU are going THAT well (see link above)
(2) ...the protectionist and isolationist US under Trump will surely give you a great deal
(3) ...your former colonies that you exploited and humiliated for centuries just can't wait to increase trade with you
(4) ...China is taking a minnow like you seriously when it comes to agreeing trade terms
(5) ...your currency is oh-so-strong and makes imports, on which your economy is dependent, oh-so-cheap
(6) ...you're such champs at exporting, making great use of that weak currency

How deluded can you be? You've not only killed a period of good growth but you have destroyed the basis for future success, i.e. forcing your only internationally relevant industry, financial services, and its top performers, foreigners, out.

You've just made an account here so I assume you're between 16 and 20. Until Britain is fully untangled from the EU and has new trade agreements in place, you'll be pushing 30. You'll study/are studying at unis that lack qualified staff and international students, graduate into a heavily damaged economy and a slow job market plagued by uncertainty over the future, and earn considerably less than your peers in flourishing states on the continent. And suddenly this debate is a lot more than banter on the internet, it negatively affects your life very tangibly. I can buy that iPhone 8/9/10 when it comes out, you can't. And you know this is coming, no matter all that nationalistic 'the empire on which the sun never sets' chest-banging - there is not a single piece of evidence you will return to the growth rates you had before the referendum. You shouldn't take this so lightly and throw out stupid, unqualified comments like you did.

You're just an educated idiot. This is all just speculation. You watch none of this will happen. Why do you think other countries are wanting out?

And you're clearly an uneducated idiot.

Are you watching what HAS already happened to your currency, your economy, the financial services industry, the NHS? What makes you believe there's no more bad news to come? You're not even out of the EU yet, with zero replacement treaties in place.

No other countries want out. They all see how Britain is going down the drain. Noticed how right-wing parties and politicians lost the elections in Austria, Netherlands, France, and are polling in the single digits in Germany? Heck, not even the people of Britain want out, a second referendum would be easily by Remain.

There has been problems with the NHS long before the referendum. That is down to the health minister Jeremy C*nt.

A second referendum will never happen. There will be problems, but once creases have been ironed out, we will be GREAT Britain again.

True, you've always had a shite, over-rated, inefficient healthcare system. But now Brexit is killing it off since it can't cope without foreigners.

Of course it won't. But as polls show, Remain would win now. Your fellow countrymen are seeing the light because they feel the pinch - when will you?

Sure, son, keep dreaming. Sad to see another uneducated young nationalist lapping up the lies of UKIP and Co. I hope you enjoy the public humiliation of Britain that are the facts (see above) and your much lower lifetime earnings.

I support Labour although some of their policies are stupid.

Look at you brainwashed into believing that the negative media courage and propaganda about Britain Exiting the EU when nobody knows for certain.

Couldn't care less. You have long disqualified yourself from any discussion of politics with the nationalistic, deluded nonsense that you write. I am just playing with you now.

So the facts don't matter to you? That your growth has been severely curbed, your currency is a joke, your only relevant industry is leaving? All of that is not for certain? Yeah, that's what I thought. Covering your ears and yelling la-la-la-Britain-will-be-great-again-la-la-la doesn't make the facts go away, unfortunately.

98% of respected experts, scholars, think tanks, and government organisations predicted high negative effects of Brexit for Britain - are they all brainwashed by the media too?

Typical uneducated little school boy. Doesn't win an argument and throws a hissy fit.
why can't the OP just accept the result and have a reasonable debate without going all out remoaner.
I will say that Brexit like all divorces is not easy and will take time to see benefit
And yet another spam of links from papers who would happily ignore the result.

ahhh, I love brexit so much
it reminds me of trump - it pisses off all the right people
liberals, regressives, socialists, multi-culturalists, feminists and so on.
and I love how people like you are still crying to themselves about this dead issue
we're leaving. might as well be a cheerleader for the UK in the exit negotiations.
this is *your* country too, not just the people who voted out.
you are never going to have the UK *not* leave the EU now. we had a democratic vote.

A remainer only looking for bad news. How surprising. It reminds me the brexiters who only read the good news;

If you had the brains to read my signature you would know that I am more educated and successful than you little dimwit will ever be.

I have destroyed all your nationalistic, ignorant nonsense with facts - you didn't even come close to ever winning this argument, son. Britain is the laughing stock of Europe and the world, but please, be in denial, it's all you have left.

Totally beats me how you lot can think that I -or other Remainers, or the liberal press- do not accept the result. I wholeheartedly embrace it. These threads are merely there to show how badly Britain has shot itself in the foot/leg/abdomen with this idiotic, short-sighted, economically ignorant vote, and to gleefully document the obvious demise of the country from a continental European perspective.
