Will I always be socially awkward?

I just give up now
No you won't!! I was a social outcast from about 7 till my late teens! I found my crowd once broke away from the dysfunctional bullying group/ society I was part of and met peeps from all over the world who were so awesome and at last opened up to the world!
you're probably akward cuz you care what other people think about you. you must master the art of not giving a fu**

no!!! i used to be really socially awkward, never wanting to ring for a taxi or ask the waiter for the bill or even ask a question in class. i also found it hard make new friends and speaking to strangers, so i decided just to stay at home. my best friend was really bubble and would speak to anyone so she made me go out and meet to people. now i'm doing my A levels and one of the most confident people you'll ever meet. constantly socialising and speak to randomers at parties i love it. my advise to you is be friends with someone who is bubbly as they will bring the best out of you, making your true confident sell shine. I hoped you found this helpful.

I know how you feel! I never wanted to order food when at a restaurant, I HATED having to ring someone back that i didn't know such as for an interview - but as I did that more I got used to it and now it does'nt bother me as I have a job where I have to speak on the phone but it's not busy. I still get a bit nervous but that goes away.

As for meeting new people, I'm still quite shy but it depends on how I feel about the person. Some people I'm myself with straight away if I feel like they're a generally nice person and others I don't say a lot too but I've learned to not care if someone mentions my quietness bc why does it even matter? If you like who you are, the right people will be understanding

When i first met my boyfriend I was soooo shy and didn't say much but bc I knew how understanding he was of my quiteness I was myself with him quite quickly

You just have to find the right people, ignore the idiots who mention your quiet/awkwardness

No you will not. Not if you stop putting up with it, anyway. The 'either you have it or you don't' mentality is both a weak and harmful one...it's not that some people are 'just' socially awkward whilst others are 'just' socially adept - any skill can be learned and, if you're feeling ambitious, mastered.

You can lose your social awkwardness in the same way that someone that was once very sociable can become an outcast if they want to. It's all about action and putting yourself out there - start small, and then go from there.

One book I'd recommend to help you is 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' by Dale Carnegie.

Hope that helps, best of luck.

Message me if you've any further questions.

socially awkward used to mean that you were shy when meeting new people or felt uncomfortable when around people outside of your immediate friends. but what your explaining might just be a trait you will always have, which isn't a bad thing. it just makes you unique.
Well when I was at school I barley even answered the register and had like one friend who I was myself with.
Then I got older, did promo work and joined classes/meet ups and got used to it I guess.
It does take time and effort but that's life and if you want change then you have to make it.
