Top tips for Tutoring??

I'm new to tutoring - Maths & Science.

Anybody got any top tips??

What level of maths are you currently at?

The most important thing for you will be to make sure you are 100% confident with the new spec GCSE if you did the old spec. Try as many specimen/past papers and hard textbook questions as you can and make sure you know all the content. As a tutor you will not only be teaching them maths but also preparing them for the exam (I'm assuming).

As Notnek says, it's extremely important to understand the current GCSE spec! Aside from that, you might want to take a look at some of the articles our Maths tutors have written, as there are quite a few tips for teaching there:

I sat the current spec last year so that's the only one I know.
