Agreed my dad does it and everyone o see him do it I rage and take it out and put it in the bin. (Bread bin that it)
it makes it last way longer before getting stale
I do that too if I need it to last longer...without going stale or off.
In fact, I even freezer it sometimes.
I my bread in a sealed food container, keeps my bread and pastries fresh.

Nom nom nom nom
New Scientist did research and concluded that putting bread and cake in the fridge actually makes them go stale faster. So take it out and tell your flatmate you're trying to help him/her out.

I keep my bread and eggs in the fridge, so when North Korea inevitably nukes everyone they'll still be fresh and intact.

please don't buy chinese foods in bulk and keep it for 3 months in freezer without ever eating it, Chen.
gotta make that bread last tbh

The one time I didn't put bread in the fridge, I had to throw away half a loaf. It was a sad time for me :cry2:

As has been said before, putting bread in the fridge is the worst thing you can do in terms of its "freshness".

My dad does this and he insists it keeps it fresh despite me telling him the science of why it does the opposite. So I just leave the bread out and love seeing him get annoyed, he blames me for leaving it out, I blame him for putting it in the fridge. It’s a never ending cycle

I didn't even know this was a thing. It seems pretty dumb.
