Sociology vs psychology?

I’m not sure which to take at a-level, what’s the differences and what are they both about/what do they include? Did you enjoy either one of them and why?

Hi, I'm currently in year 12 doing psychology, and at GCSE I did sociology.

The main difference is that psychology takes a more scientific approach whereas sociology is more social. Both of them are VERY essay based.

Psychology is generally seen as harder than sociology as it requires some scientific knowledge.

Hope this helps xx

Ps: I enjoyed sociology at gcse and I enjoy psychology so much now!
DO NOT DO PSYCHOLOGY

coming from a year 13 student who does psychology and sociology!

psychology is interesting and all but it is VERY hard, there’s so many studies and content you have to remember, it is taking up all of my revision.

I’m sociology I’ve gotten an A in all my mocks, it is an “easy” subject, whereas psychology I’ve gotten D’s every time.

Just think of another subject, I wish I didn’t do psychology. It has made my life at sixth form very stressful
