How am I meant to be well rounded when I have so much uni work?

Above
How many hours do you usually spend on uni work? You could make a work timetable to divide your time, making room for time to socialise or for hobbies. Too much work is not good!

Sounds like you need to do some reading, am I right in assuming you're about 50% of the way through your recommended reading list by now?

You are usually taught from scratch and materials should cover everything. What are your first exams? Internships don't teach you microeconomics or macroeconomics.
Just cut out the time you spend lounging for something extra curricular like playing an instrument / sports.

If your attitude wasn't so much of a problem, I'd be suggesting that you befriend these people and work with them to understand the principles you are struggling with.

The fact you called some of them douches suggests otherwise.

You have conversations with them, so just ask. Its not like you have never spoken to them before. Just ask for their advice.

And there's the attitude problem.

Just because someone has secured work experience through their parents does not equate to them being a douche bag. Plus its one person you clearly seem to have an issue with.

Rather than focusing on the problem, focus on finding a solution. One of those potential solutions is to use the expertise around you, whether its fellow students who seem more clued up (whether they are a douchebag or not) or even your academics.
