You need to have the ACCA qualification. Certain degrees will give you exception from particular ACCA exams though.
Building on from the above post, a mathematics degree can increase your chances of securing a position within a firm to do the ACCA qualification. You don't have to do an accountancy degree to get your foot in the door. A mathematics degree will give you just as good chances. Of course this only increases your chances of getting onto the program, you then have to complete the course to obtain the qualification, as the above poster has said.

Also, I would recommend trying to get work experience and getting involved with some extra curricular activities outside of your studies. This will increase your chances a lot and is arguably more important than your degree subject, grade and where you obtained it from. Goodluck.
