Midwifery work experience

So I have applied for work experience at my local hospital to shadow a midwife , I have been instructed to write a personal statement and I’m really stuck in what to write. Could somebody give me some tips or ideas on how to write a personal statement.
Write about why you want to come and shadow a midwife and why you're interested in midwifery.

You can do, but they'll primarily want your motivation for coming to shadow the midwife and why you're interested in midwifery.
whatever you do dont write "i love babies" they really dont tend to like that, write something more aimed towards supporting mums etc
