What would people do in this situation?

I am in a happy relationship with my gf but we dont have sex much cos of her belly troubles (not preggers) we havent bin able to have sex proper for nearly a year

Probably leave her or you will end up cheating on her. A proper couple should able to give each other what they want physically, emotionally and psychologically. Sex imo plays somewhat an important part in love, and you are only human.
If she doesnt/cant provide it to you- look for someone else (similar sex drive helps)

I think that's good advice. A long-lasting couple has to be on the same wave-length. If one wants more sex than the other it's gonna cause issues further down the line. It's best to end it quickly rather than waste your time in a relationship that you know is doomed to end
