Can someone give me ideas how to write a great descriptive writing? I just moved here from the Philippines and we dont really do any of that stuff , so i'm having a very difficult time. And im taking my gcse next school year so i really need to improve quickly

Hi :smile: there isn't really a formula for writing a good descriptive piece, but we can critique writing for you here if you post it. I've attached some sample mark schemes for creative writing from the Edexcel 9-1 English specimen paper to give you an idea of what the examiners might be looking for: basically, be aware of your audience, use literary techniques (similes, alliteration etc.), use a wide range of vocabulary and vary your sentence structure.
