Personal statement PP

So I am currently writing my PS for PP courses (Philosophy and Politics dual honours) I am using the TSR PS builder to help, my issue is with the "how have your previous/current studies set you up for uni" section. I am currently studying an access course in Business/Law, largely irrelevant to the subjects I'm applying for.

Is it more worth me just talking about my motivations as a mature student for this section, and ignoring the current studies bit?
