Essay structure

Currently doing History A-level studying Russian history and Charles I &II. I'm attaining C/B grade atm, but I really want to achieve an A/A*.

What is an A* structure to follow for a source based question and a 20 marker essay question? Own knowledge is not problem, but writing the actual essay is where I struggle.

Counter arguments. That's where you'll get the analysis marks. Simply stating, 'on the other hand' and then having a small debate can push you up to the A/A*s.
