The Student Room Group

Where Were You When You Joined TSR Compared to Now?

I think I was 16 at the time. I used to be really skinny, said I would never drink alcohol and was just a wet blanket in general.

Now I have gains, love the sesh in all its beautiful and many forms, and put the stud in student room. I also have a degree and am writing a novel.

How have you changed?

I made my first account back in May 2014 during my AS exams to look at mark schemes. Things have taken a weird turn ever since...

Haha.
I didn't know what anime was when I joined TSR.
I first joined near the end 2015 when I was panicking about failing my GCSEs

Now I'm panicking about failing my A-levels :h:
I can't remember what possessed me to join :teehee:

I'm in a better mental place now though. I think.

What a step up.
I was studying biology at OU since I couldn't go to a brick uni at the time since I was housebound from panic attacks and agoraphobia when I first joined.

Four years on I'm now married to the bf I had when I first joined and I'm due to start embalming and funeral director training after Christmas. I'm pretty much never in the house now which is the biggest change in me after getting my panic attacks under control :yep:

Just a bit. :flute:

I didn't find out about anime here, but TSR's Anime Society certainly helped my budding interest to fully bloom. I was leading the soc a year or two later. :colone:

Then : helping students with maths on TSR.
Now : helping students with maths on and off TSR.
Future : death.
I had everything blocked out. Worst type of coping mechanism.
