(a) Define a sample space for the experiment of recording the types of three chocolates chosen
at random from the box, one by one
(i) with replacement, that is, after you draw the first chocolate, you record its type, replace it in the box and draw the second chocolate;
(ii) without replacement.
2.
(b) Write down the cardinality of the two sample spaces. (Recall that the cardinality of a set is the number of elements contained in the set).
3.
(c) Repeat the above when there are M milk chocolates and W white chocolates.
