What course are you looking to study? Different courses will have a variety of opportunities available to you, some will be paid and some will not. Usually in the case of placement years in third year of study, if carried out over 12 months you will normally get paid.

As well as placements/internships, there's a huge range of volunteering opportunities available that will help to enhance your CV!
