Spanish idioms

I need idioms for essays to get higher marks, but literally everything on google that i have searched does not fit in an essay at all!! Would appreciate any help or advice in general for getting higher marks in essays, thanks.

I have so many brb

"Ser pan comido"- equivalent (not direct translation since that is confusing af) = "a piece of cake"
"Estar más sano que una pera"= "to be as fit as a fiddle"
"Se me hace la boca agua"- it makes my mouth water
Arrimar el ascua a su sardina - to put ones benefits first
Al hambre no hay pan duro- beggars can't be choosers
Ser del año de la pera - old fashioned
Dar las uvas- someone/something is late/ very slow
Estar como un queso - someone is very attractive
Importar un pimiento/ un pepino - no to worry / care about something at all
¡Ostras!- oh dear!
¡Este es la leche!- it is really awesome/ cool
Estar para chuparse los dedos- it is delicious
No valer la pena- not being worthy
De sol a sol- all day long
Ser uña y carne- very good friends with some
En un abrir y cerrar de ojos- in the blink of an eye

for example
he de - I have to, has de - you have to ..etc..
that's an idiom since it makes zero sense if u translate it literally to english

No problem the literal translation have a lot about food but I guess that's the culture
What exam year are u in e.g Alevel gcse etc

Idioms are just common sayings , pretty sure u can't just use random bs as that would be kinda funny 😂
Like everyone knows "it's raining cats and dogs"
Just like the examiner is likely to know "Este la leche" aka "this is the milk" since leche is often a swear/ controversial word when not using to describe cow's milk or something.
I realise this just turned into a lesson about idioms but meh who cares 😂😂🔫

that's what i was told, that's what i did-any random bs that doesn't make sense when u translate literally to English is an idiom, i always scored big in the idioms part for the essay so i see no problem. my list of cool sayings were cool, i didn't have bs like Arrimar el ascua a su sardina - to put ones benefits first- no disrespect but when u gonna use that

Muhahhahahahaahahhahaahha ultimate vexing achieved - our teacher had set "higher level" "essay idioms" so she could basically understand our waffle pretty much - she tried giving us more common ones used in both regions of Spain fam
