Do u mean charge?

No it says number of ions in the lattice structure

Are the lattice structures the same size?

yes
Ok im not 100% sure, but:
-MgCl2 would dissociate in 3 ions and MgO 2
- I was trying to link it to the charges (of Cl and O, and repulsion between electrons. But im not too sure

So basically instead of 1:1 ratio in MgO it will be 1:2 in MgCl2 so there will be double the chloride ions compared to the oxide ions
