That is scientifically proven to be really ineffective. Your brain likes to be focused on one sole task for about 27-32 minutes before it is fully capable to switch task. FOr long periods of time, every half hour a 5-minute break should be taken (preferably away from a screen).

Take this from a girl doing neuroscience.
