I talk to him and stuff but literally thats it. Our conversations are just small talk and I wish it was more :frown: How can I take our friendship to the next level? I would ask him out but I’m sure he doesn’t like me yet, as like I said we barely talk properly

You can't make anyone like you. Sounds like you're trying to force it, why not flirt a bit and see how he reacts.

Try again.
Use texting sensibly, be assertive and arrange a date together. There is absolutely no point in wasting your time over dilly dallying ;-)
Talk to him and find out what interests him. Ask him to hang out with you maybe. Although it would be a good step to now whether he has an interest n you because if he doesn't, don't really think he will like you more than a a friend.
