Lol let them white folk keep pointing the finger as this world they call theirs keeps falling apart because of THEM not owning up to their faults and blaming everyone else :h: I ain't worried.

It is not just white people who live in New York. Terrorism targets everyone, regardless of race.

270+ mass shootings this year, vast majority committed by white men. Homicide rate 3x that of the UK. 700 killed by gang violence in Chicago in 2017 alone. I think America's got bigger things to worry about than Muslims. This is hardly even news considering how common mass killings are there.

THERE. I was responding to his point about how many white people have committed mass shootings yet how people are still racist to blacks about the crime and Muslims about the terrorism when mass murderers who are white are a just as big if not bigger issue! I was not discussing the demographics of new York city!!1 so nice deflection and lack if reading comprehension for you and whoever reps you!!

Didn't you say you like British men?
You know what the sad thing is-everyone is on edge. Its just sad that people are simply waiting for the mans identity to be released. People want to know his skin colour, his religion and ideals, his motive if there was one, and if so they will make one up depending on his background. They want to know if he was an immigrant or not, if he was a home-grown man from NYC, if he was from the hood. People, and no not all, but some, are looking for something to blame, they NEED to, they need a clear villain in their head, a stereotype to associate that person with.

God bless and help those injured. I hope the man gets what he deserves which imo is hell. Its just senseless and cruel man. Waiting on what action will take place, and whit house statements.
If this is another attack by an 'Islamic' terrorist, then I condemn it happening in the name of my religion and condemn any killing of innocent people by anyone. Not in my name.

Gun control in America is a entirely separate issue to terrorism.

It is not racist to say that Islamic terrorism is a problem.

Also, it is hilarious how you can't see the irony of complaining about racism towards other groups when you blatantly made a generalisation about all white people.

You seem to have a problem with communicating like a mature adult. Ad hominem attacks and screaming like a child who dropped their lollipop is not going to help get your point across.

Why? Stop doing this, you had nothing to do with it. I didn't see any whites apologising for Paddock.

I understand, but these occurrences tragically happen, and it is the duty of us Muslims to make clear that we will always stand against extremism.

Don't like being reminded of your own hypocrisy?

You dont know me and what my capabilities are; you lack the capability of reading. I'm not continuing this discussion with someone who conveniently, blatantly, intentionally misses my point yet has the nerve to insult my intelligence and posts pesudo intellectual terms like "ad hominem" to me.

The point stands, I'm not reading what you have to say anymore. There's nothing ironic about what I said. You'e still deflecting so how's that for being a mature adult. No idea why it can't permeate your brain that all the guy, not even me, was saying was that many mass murderers are white meanwhile they point the finger. Where is the irony? Goodbye.

I can read. I study English Literature actually. I've read three books this week.

Ad hominem is not 'pseudo-intellectual.' It is a actual fallacy used in weak arguments. It comes from Latin, which means 'to the man.' Ad hominem means you are attacking the person behind the argument rather than the argument itself.

How am I deflecting? I am responding to what you typed. It doesn't matter that you were responding to another person. You still wrote your views down therefore I am responding to said views. That is how a forum works.

The irony lies in the fact that you assumed that all white people blame others and exhibit the same behaviour when in fact they are not one big homogenous group. Yet, you complain when the same thing is done to other races but you are guilty of making generalisations yourself about other people.

You don't have to respond to my comment. I just hope everyone can see what a hypocrite you are.
Pathetic.

Or if we take the official line "a statement consistent with terror attacks" because people won't dare admit that it was an Islamist, that would be racist.

Little doubt this will be pushed to once side to people can foam at the mouth over guns again despite the strict gun laws in NYC and New York in general, especially hand guns for the latter.

This kind of news story is like viagra for Trump

The argument isn't totally unreasonable, especially given it isn't a simple crossing the border immigrant or somebody who visited and overstayed their welcome, I suppose it's quite conveniently timed for Trump too.

I think the suspect was a legal immigrant, i wonder how he reacts to this

It’s just a terrorist attack as per usual

As usual, yes, but nothing to trivialise.

No matter what you say, people aren't going to change their minds and islamiphobia will continue. Apologising is a waste of time when you have no connection to the attack.

Couldn't care less which stan he's from, he's just a human scumbag at the end of the day

However I do think it's important for people to know Muslims are against these attacks 100% I will never condone these terrorist attacks. Ever.
