I have no idea what a Delta is. There's one in the Nile. Regular annual flooding? δ

sniped out as usual :/
When a beta and a gamma love each other very much they hug in a special way...
By placing one horizontal line at the bottom, then two diagonal lines upwards meeting each other to form an isosceles triangle.

Thus,

A delta forms from a deposition of sediment
there is like mud & stuff which makes a D shape.
deposition of sediment occurs at an estuary or where river meets an ocean or a sea. This is because the water isn't flowing as fast and so it can't carry the sediments which are therefore deposited.

(prob wrong since I read about deltas last time in yr9)
A delta forms when the river deposits sediment faster than it can remove it
Deposition (thats a good enough answer right?)
