Entry Requirement Interview

Hi I got an email from Nottingham saying that they'd accepted me on my course however I had to attend a UCAS Visit Day to have an interview in order to discuss my application and set my entry requirements. None of my teachers have heard of anything like this and wondered if anybody else had and whether the interview is a traditional interview or just a formal talk?
