Are these Bose headphones worth getting?

Hi,

Basically, I AM LIKE A HUGE FAN OF MUSIC! Can't live life without it.

Anyways, I've decided to get an upgrade in my gear. I used to have Dr Dre Beats Solo which were ok - well they leaked sound out. The I got a pair of Sony headphones which were good but now I really really want a bad boy certified headphone.

I've looked into Bose and particular like this one: https://www.johnlewis.com/bose-on-ea...black/p3330137

Are they any good?

Bose make excellent noise cancelling technology but mediocre sounding headphones. I would avoid any of their headphones outside of the Quiet comfort line, and I'd only recommend those if you're commuting daily on the train.

Is it an on-ear design that you want specifically? What's your budget?

I use the bose soundsport before and the bose quality is really good. However, those on-ear headphones probably won't be comfortable for long use. For £169, I don't think it's worth it imo. (also it looks like budget headphones imo)

If quality is 100% the most important thing, I wouldn't go wireless. The sound quality of wireless headphones is nowhere near the standard of wired headphones.

For Christ's sake do some actual research.

Yeah preferbly an on-ear one.

I just liked the fact that it was portable and foldable but I'm looking to spend round £150

Get the V Moda XS, still compact and foldable but sound much better.

I mean, Bose headphones are the best of the best. I love them (although I have beats because I'm an instagram snob lol, also they were few with my iPad Pro) but I steal my sister's and dad's from time to time and they are brill. My dad swears by his on flights as he says they're the only thing that really cancel noise with no sound leakage
As for this particular model I have no idea but Bose on the whole has the best sound quality and technology
Do you have any friends going abroad anytime soon? Much cheaper if you buy them at duty free

Hi there! :wavey:

This thread should be in the Tech forum. I'll just tag @AngryJellyfish to get this moved over there :h:
If you're interested in quality then there's better ones for cheaper price (audio-technica comes to mind, although there's other less known ones, better do research).

If you're prepared to pay 40£ extra, get these https://en-uk.sennheiser.com/momentum-on-ear-wireless . Sennheiser generally has spectacular quality and these are expensive but definitely worth it.
Bose has the best sound quality???? Like Apple and Dre products, you pay for the name.

Bose are good for sound cancelling. But if you want the best quality sound look elsewhere:

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0

Philips Fidelio X2
