AO1:
- Abnormalities within specific brain regions may be associated with the development of sz. Specifically, sz patients seem to have enlarged ventricles in the brain (by about 15%)

A03/Research:
- Research has found that sz patients do have larger ventricles and reduced grey matter which can be the cause of sz and or the development of it.

- The research into the brain has extremely high reliability as it uses high technical and scientific equipment which will give the same results over and over again. (test-retest would give same results)
- It is argued that having sz could result in the enlarged ventricles but that can't be known unless a longitudinal study of the person before and after they had sz was studied.
- Not all the patients have enlarged ventricles which shows you cant generalise this idea to all patients.

Hope this helps:smile:
