Hi there,

I’m studying a access to he diploma in ‘Engineering’ and want to hopefully start studying at the University of Bath for Civil Engineering. However, the university requires that I have 12 credits from Mathematics units and in my access course we only do 9 credits for Math? Would Bath overlook this and accept me? As I can’t change the course for my own liking. Also is the university lenient towards students? By letting them off a few grades etc. Thank you.


All I can suggest is to ring them, or at least email them. Clearly explain your situation, the exact course you're taking, and the credits you'll come out with. Also ask for an alternative way of getting the credits, if possible.

You can add in more credits, but you’ll have to talk to your teacher
