Doesn't really matter if the main issue is between two underage people rather than an underage person and an adult given that's not what they objected to to start with. The objection was to Napp complaining the government were busy bodies for trying to police distribution of underage images. Problem is once it's out there, you've lost control of it and it can end up anywhere - production of child porn is still production of child porn even if it's planned to just be shared between the child in question and their partner.
Just don't send nudes. Literally don't understand why people do it. Just waiting for someone to get their hands on them and show people you don't want seeing them. Seems like a stupid thing to even consider

He thinks no such thing. The biggest problem is more likely to be with those that further publish pictures they have received from other young people. There is no particular problem when all is friendly and with mutual consent. The problem arise when a desire for revenge over a terminated relationship cuts in or some clown thinks he has licence to show his mates what he has received privately.

I have suggested that society has a sanction against such people if dissemination of indecent pictures of minors is illegal but wouldn't if it were not (though it cannot prevent the problem). You have declined to answer my attempts to elicit your take on it, so we are left to believe you don't have one.

The law is actually quite complex in this area. It is 18, or it is 16 if sent between people who are married or living together in an enduring family relationship.

Well this contrasts with what you were saying earlier on in the thread.

A sanction on people who send it or a sanction on people who spread it? Harshly punishing those who sends it seems excessive and gives the impression that both are equally bad when really it's spreading the images that does most damage.

I actually thought that was interesting too. It'd be good to understand what happened with the girl, although I know when it comes to minors there's not often a lot of information.
