Star Trek Discovery on Netflix is totally amazing

Next episode Jan 7th (might be all 9) and then not till 2019.

The gay relationship is a bit too unsubtle, camp, offputting and distracting.

Sonequa Martn is excellent, although she lost some of the vulcan characteristics lately.

I find her whole Vulcanism a bit weird because she's not Vulcan, she was just raised there so her inability to use her emotions doesn't really make as much sense.

I didn't think the gay relationship was that unsubtle - no more so than the other relationships. The thing that feels different is that they're older than normal gay couples are portrayed on TV, which I reckon is a good thing.

Except she's been thoroughly integrated into the Vulcan science academy.

Nope I find it distracting and too camp. Almost a caricature.
