Yet plenty of Asians here think they’re ‘British’ and no one thinks they’re delusional

Is being "British" a genetic profile or a national identity.

If it is genetic, how far back should we go to establish, who is really British and who is not?

I don't think you are getting the point.

What point? gender dysphoria is a thing and is on the nhs website. It's not a choice where someone wakes up one morning and says"I want to be a man today". Gender dysphoria has been reported in 4 year old children.

That is exactly the point. Once you get a scientific school of thought to give a stamp of approval, it will become normal.

You can argue all night about how it is not the same, but remember that there was a time black people were not seen as humans, homosexuals were thought to have demonic possessions and transgenders were thought to have psychological problems.

Yes, thanks to the tools of modern neurobiology we can do away with these harmful, ancient beliefs. But what makes you think science will similarly establish “transracialism” as a condition? It’s like saying we’ll legalise paedophilia, or that the moon is made of cheese. Science and legal philosophy are open-minded, but that doesn’t mean we can’t rule out certain “what ifs”.

Filipino is also a national identity

Gender dysphoria is a thing because it has taken years of research and studying the said community.

Race dysphoria is probably a new thing and will take years to establish it.

There are some people, who still believe that people cannot be born gay or be transgender. They are now viewed as lunatics, who cannot see the facts.

Once Race dysphoria becomes established, people like you will be classed as lunatics, who won't be able to see the facts.

The word "transracial" has an actual meaning which isn't anything to do with how a person identifies - it refers to a form of adoption in which a child is adopted by parents of a race other than their own. If this man was a transracial adoptee with Filipino parents, it would make perfect sense for him to 'feel Filipino' (i.e. to feel a sense of belonging or affinity with Filipino culture), but as it stands, there doesn't seem to be a logical basis for conflating racial or cultural identity with gender identity.

Most of the intellectuals have left TSR (though that doesn't stop the rest from pretending)

Saying inflammatory things online carries real risk in the real world.

It might not be illegal now, or really damage your job prospects, but in 10 years or so, someone with a grudge against you might drag it up and use it against you. By then, it might well cause a visit from the police, or suspension from your job.

That is very true.

I agree.

Race dysphoria won't ever be a thing since it's purely socially constructed. Race doesn't equal to skin tone as you have black albinos that look white. Dark skinned indians that are darker than many black people but aren't seen as black. So what really is race?

lmao @ lunatic. Says the one that wants to be seen as a dog or donkey. lol

You see that is the point, it only takes some time to legalise everything.

You stated Peadophilia, but there are agencies out there that are campaigning to make it legal.

You can argue that it wont happen, but it is just a matter of time.

I did not call you a lunatic, was just making a point.

You have hit the nail on the head. What is race? Is it biological or social?

What is gender? Is it a social construct or biological? The transgender community argue that gender is social, the transracial community may argue that race is social and so cannot be restricted to skin tone.

Open your mind just a little bit and see it from the other side.

Gender is socially constructed, and skin colour isn't the only genetic variable possible.

Race is not the social construct that gender is. Only the boundaries between races are arbitrary, but the existence of significant enough differences between humans to justify some racial categorisation objectively exists.

Yes I know gender is a social construct as it's based on socialisation. Yes the differences in racial categorisation are based on the way society perceives you.
Jack Charlton had a number of men define themselves as Irish in the 80s and 90s, including Tony Cascarino, whose mum was adopted and so did not have any Irish ancestry.

Exactly!!! It is just a matter of time until society accepts transracial people.

75 - 100 years ago, there probably was no such thing as gender dysphoria./QUOTE]

The concept (albeit not the term itself) of gender dysphoria entered medical literature some time in the 19th century, although evidence of transgender and gender non-conforming identities goes back considerably further - it was, for example, described by Philo of Judea c.13 BC. It's not 'new' by any stretch of the imagination, it's just been much more widely acknowledged in the last 50-100ish years.

N.B. It should be pointed out, though, that not all trans or non-binary people experience gender dysphoria.

Race is purely a social construct and calls you what you look like in society.
Gender is a social construct sex is biological. Yes but how can you change your race if it does not exist lol? It's just social. She "feels" black because she likes fried chicken or whatever bs doesn't mean anything? That is just attracting stereotypes to skin tone.

Plus transracial won't ever be a thing because technically it's only white people that can be transracial. A black person cannot transform into a chinese person, so where is the cut off?

Open my mind a little? are you serious lol....I am quoting from what I've learnt in my psychology a level classes...

That is true. Hence, my point that society would just take some time to be convinced.

How? You are happy with a white person calling themselves black because they like fried chicken?
