Hi guys!

As I realized that many participants have problems to understand question 3. And I admit that this one is not very clear, so I change this right here and above so you are able to give a clear answer:

3.) What is the name of the practice by which martial artists are breaking wooden boards with fists and feed?

Everyone who has answered this question recently has a new chance to give a reply to this question by the second attempt!

Is it called progressive resistance training?
Totes my specialist subject of course :yep:

A great hello to you guys!

today it is my turn to organize a quiz with my own rules in Sport forum. So, lets go! Mine is about martial arts that is the sport I like most of all to practice. As I am doing this for over ten years and as I have knwon so many different ones, I thought that I am the best for this. Well, well.

And now, here are my rules for this quiz:

1.) I ask five-teen questions. If you want to participate in my quiz, replying to five of them is the least.

2.) Every single participant has two attempts to answer to the questions (that is to say, you can write in this thread twice to give answers).

3.) Every single participant who answers twice can only give answers to question which the participant has not answered (so unanswered questions).

4.) Every right answer is awarded with one point. If a participant answers twice to unanswered questions right, this participant gets those points belate.

5.) There are questions with multiple right answers. Every right multiple answer is one point worth.

6.) Every single participant has a score of points. The three participants with the most points are the winners.

7.) No offensiveness in this forum! No spam and no advertisements!!

The price in this quiz are eight reputation points of mine! The third best participants get those! I personally will report in this quiz to name the scores of participants now and then. Good luck to you all! :h: And now here are the questions:

1.

1.) The black belts are well known for martial artist, but what is the color before black and thus the highest student grade as a rule?

2.) In Taekwondo for instance, the highest student grade has a different color. What is this color?

3.) What is the name of the practice by which martial artists are breaking wooden boards with fists and feed?

4.) Can you name three martial arts without weapons?

5.) Can you name three martial arts with weapons?

6.) Which martial arts are typical for skipping (jump rope)? Name two!

7.) What are the two typical training items to improve the fighting skills (in boxing for instance)?

8.) Which martial arts allow to use the elbows in fights? Name two!

9.) Which weapons in martial arts do you know? Name three at least, but five at the most.

10.) Name one martial art each coming from Japan, China, Korea and Thailand. Every answer is one point worth!

11.) Boxing is a popular martial art. There were a lot of great pros in the past. Which three do you know who retired?

12.) Bruce Lee is a well-known martial artist in Films. The first film with him was aired in 1971, the last one in 1978 (he died during filming). Can you name them all? Every single right answer is one point worth!

13.) Can you name another great martial artists in Films with Asian origins? Name three at the most!

14.) Even video games for martial arts exist, the Street Fighter series for instance. How many characters of this gaming series do you know? Name five at the most.

15.) MASTER QUESTION! The right answer is 10!! points worth!!!

There is a TV show about MMA. In this TV show, bullies as amateurs are fighting against pros. Those pros have almost different experiences in differnt martial arts. In this TV show, the bullies are fighting for money. This fight consists of two rounds. In the first round grappling techniques are allowed only and lasts three minutes. The second round lasts three minutes too and is a kickboxing fight. If the two rounds are over, the bully have lost 10,000 Dollars to the victims in the worst case or the same sum of money won in the best case. The starring (moderator) is very eccentric and spectators are involved in the fights!

My question: what is the name of this awesome MMA show?

Have fun!

The deadline for this quiz is the saturday this week!

Taekwondo?

That is your second answer to question number 3? you can't answer to this question anylonger, but to the other ones you do (if you want to!)

So, it is time to announce the intermediate result:

44 @markovchain17

35 @y.u.mad.bro?

35 @Trinculo

32 @Guru Jason

30 @AmeliaLost

26 @CatusStarbright

20 @BuzzyB73

17 @Franzen

16 @Michiyo

Most of you have a sceond chance! use this carefully. And don't forget: just unanswered questions. Even if you gave one answer to a question with multiple answers that counts as answered too!
@Kallisto the thing is - if I leave a question blank, it's because I don't know the answer. To go back to it, the only way I'd be able to answer it would be to look it up. Surely that misses the point?

I'll echo that. Not sure about the format of this quiz, nor quite how the points are working 🤔

Essentially it's just two guesses if you don't know the answer

So I will clear that for you. There are 15 questions and 41 possible answers in all. I control the given answers and judge whether they were right or wrong. Every right answer counts one point, wrong considered answers no points. The one who answered the master question right gets 10 points. All in all there are 50 points at the maximum you may get. Understand?

As I said, I am doing martial arts for ten years by now. In this time I had trained Kickboxing, Close Combat Self Defence (CCSD), Kobudo (martial Arts with weapons), Taekwondo and currently Wushu and Boxing.

As I have moved my places many times and the fact that the trainer had to be retired because of a bad injury, I just got the orange belt in Kobudo and Kickboxing and the blue one in CCSD. Since my last move I am training without belts. I do that just for fun.

dw, its the quality not the quantity.
On a side note, the answer(s) to 1 of the questions in my quiz are a bit cheeky so be warned if you are of a sensitive disposition
