With God, can we have two conflicting beliefs ??? big bang/evolution

Can we believe in the big bang and evolution with God?

Of course we can not. Everything written in God's word must stand as absolute truth. To believe otherwise is to call God a liar.

The Biblical Creation is Gods Creation!

The big bang and evolution are Satan's creation!

A believer can not serve two masters. If one believes in both then they have no faith in God. Faith comes by hearing and believing the word of God.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

How can we receive grace if we have no faith?

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

God's word is infallible.

Or maybe your literal interpretation of the bible is incorrect and there are meant to be more metaphorical interpretations?

Then god is a liar.

Evening Blade. There is much typology and symbolism in prophesy, however with creation its literal. That is to say, it is exactly how it happened.
The Big Bang theory proves that God does exist, though scientists don't admit it.

How does it?

Answer this question: How did the Universe come into existence? Scientists say it all started from a single atom, if so, who made that atom? God did. God exists.
If everything in the Bible is literally true, correct, and moral, then how many adulterers have you stoned today, and have you offered the correct sacrifices to atone for the fact that your clothing contains multiple kinds of fabric?

Scientists say it all started from a single atom,

No they don't.

if so, who made that atom? God did. God exists.

If that's the case, what made god?

Why are you using logic, albeit as moronic as it is, to defend illogical ideas?
That's where you lose. Nothing made God, God is omnipresent and there is no beginning. But God made everything, including you.

There is no universe. Its a deception, a false belief system. When evolution falls, the big bang falls with it and when the big bang falls then evolution falls. They stand together as two deceptions in one.

Then you must call yourself a deception too.

Put that on ice because its a good question and we'll get to that.

But remember how God behaved when confronting the woman caught in adultery? And remember what the Pharisees wanted to do with her?

Why is an omnipresent god, an enormously complicated concept, allowed to be eternal and without creator while an infinitely more simple thing like a clump of matter cannot?

The first Creation story in Genesis 1 is likely a song that was passed down by word-of-mouth: evidence for this is the verse-chorus structure, the frequent repetition of "and God said it was good" OWTTE and the fact that in Hebrew, the verses rhyme and it is written in verse rather than prose.

In fact, the Genesis 2 story literally contradicts Genesis 1 by changing the order of events. Throughout history it was always known by the Church that these stories were not to be taken literally.

Religious fundamentalism is a relatively new movement, borne out from some 19th Century person's attempt to create a timeline of the Bible. In fact, this crazed obsession with the Bible in general came about in order to separate the arising Protestant Church from the traditional Catholic Church.

Before then, everyone knew it was just a story to remind us to appreciate our beginnings, take stewardship over our environment (eg prevent habitat destruction and climate: what good predictions!) and not be greedy.

Belief in God does not contradict Big Bang or evolution, since religion in general does not attempt to explain how something came about, but instead the hand-wavey question on why something came about and what humans should do to fulfill their lives.
I don't see how you can't believe in both. I believe in God and Evolution.

It's a proven fact that the Earth is around 4.5 billion years or thereabouts.

Why am I using logic? You think it's 'moronic', so why am I using 'moronic' logic? Not a trick question..
