Can the tempest link to Othello?

Shakespeares "The Tempest" can be linked to Othello due to race, but can it be used in the theme of love?

Love might be a bit of a tenuous link seeing as love isn't as big of a theme in The Tempest as Othello. You can talk about jealousy though by comparing Caliban's jealousy of Prospero to Iago's jealousy of Othello.
