This is so poor though.

He’s effectively accused him of being accused of match fixing.

Lmao

Did you not see the post Fizzel posted with the BBC.

He's basically questioning Conte's intregrity as a manager.

I did.

You do realise he was full acquitted in 2016 because the whole thing was baseless and there was zero evidence for the whole thing?

I don’t understand your second paragraph; if he’s been cleared, how is there any questioning left?

I know that's what Jose is doing and this is extreme but it would be like validating someone who calls into question the integrity of a man found not guilty of rape.

@Fizzel is correct in that people will naturally call it into question whether right or wrong, as with his example of Chris Froome. Its sad that Jose took it to that length though because he will know full well Conte was found not guilty, and that should be enough to end the matter.

I await Conte's response :holmes:

Because he was accused of it in the first place (meaning he or his team either did something that caused the inital suspicion) even though it turned out that there was zero evidence!

Wasn't Porto accused of match fixing during Jose's final season there?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1004561/Porto-face-relegation-accused-match-fixing-Mourinhos-season-club.html

It would be like calling Mourinho's integrity into question simply because he worked there at the time. If someone questioned Mourinho over that all hell would break loose and rightly so. Not guilty should mean not guilty, Jose took a really shady swipe I think but that is exactly how he is. He did it a lot whilst at Chelsea against other managers so we're all used to it by now haha

So similar to his tax fraud case?

For all his achievements at Chelsea, I, along with probably many Chelsea fans, don’t have an shred of respect for him anymore. It’s not even because he left to join a rival, rather it’s these constant comments about Chelsea or our manager. It probably hurts him how successfully and easily Conte has taken his place after his shitshow of a last season and the bitter c#nt can’t take it.

Jose has done nothing but aim comments at Conte and Chelsea since he left but I don't think its personal, its just how Jose is. If anything he's probably bitter about how his last season went as it was no doubt highly embarrassing for him.

Doesn't stop me losing respect for him though. Whilst like I said I don't think its personal (its just "business" as it were) he could at least show a bit more restraint and respect. Oh well!

I think there’s a difference between talking about each other’s, like when he called us defensive, to simply resorting to personal insults.

To be honest the media are to blame, they are the ones who have stirred everything up and Conte has taken bait every single time. Mourinho was talking about himself and the media twisted it to make it sound like he was throwing shots at Conte and Klopp.

Hmm you're maybe right but again I just think this is how Jose is. He only knows one way, which is to react to things. I'm sure Wenger said something about Jose which caused him to go as low as 'Wenger is a specialist in failure', which while ****ing hilarious is hugely disrespectful and insulting to one of the best managers ever.

The biggest issue I have with this is how sly it is. Jose will know full well that Conte was adjudged to be innocent, but he says it anyway because he knows (as Fizzel pointed out) that there's this issue of guilt with association.

Ched Evans was found not guilty of rape, but a lot of people will still see him as a rapist. I know that Conte was found innocent, but a lot of people won't and so will have a soured view of him, or even if they do know he was found innocent, they may still see him as 'Conte the match fixer'. Its sad but its how it is and Mourinho has tried to exploit that.

He's the master of this kind of stuff. He's also a ****

He’s always been like this, was like to other teams and managers when he was at Chelsea. Only reason he’s not done it to United is he’s always wanted this job. He’ll be the same if we sack him tbh.

I think as well he genuinely had respect for Sir Alex and everything he achieved.

Yeah, in all honesty he didn't even want to go back to Chelsea but SAF chose Moyes and Bayern chose Pep so the conditions were right. The way he whored himself for the job when United played Madrid was funny too 'the best team lost lol' Chelsea and United are not rivals in the sense that a player cannot transfer from the two clubs. If the conditions are right United will sell a player to us and clearly vice versa.

In fact one of the main reasons he went to Madrid and was so antagonising there was to spite Barcelona for turning him down for the job for Pep in 2008(he made no secret that he wanted the job).
Mou clearly trying to get under Conte's skin. He really wants the 2nd place trophy for some reason (must be pride). He's already accepted he's Pep's biatch, but he has to absolutely make sure he finishes above Chelsea otherwise he will look like a right mug at the end of the season after all these comments lol. Lots of pressure now on poor Jose. this side of his personality always comes out when he's under pressure.

I guess Chelsea have decided to follow the Arsenal model. Buy cheap, young, relatively unfancied players in the hope of turning them into world beaters. The only bright side is that we know how to shift them on for profit a year or two down the line.

This Barkley deal is symptomatic of the modern day attitude of the Chelsea board and it's the exact reason why we wont be competing for CL honours (w/o being serious underdogs) for the foreseeable future. City want to be up there so they continuously buy players to improve their first team. Looking at our signings over the past year could you honestly say any of them has noticeably improved our 1st XI? Morata and Rudiger potentially but the former has serious mental flaws and the latter hardly seems like he'll be a proper top level CB.

Speaking from experience, does not work. All it does is fill the squad with deadwood. Chelsea are being filled with deadwood as the board do not actually want to compete anymore for whatever reason.

Pretty much. You buy top players and put the other starters on the bench. Otherwise you're just relying on your manager's/ top players doing wonders every game to get results.

It's annoying in the sense that in 2012 when we won the CL we were making more ambitious signings than we are now, Morata aside who in the summer did we buy that looks like they're not going to get replaced next season? Cahill can play as bad as he wants but he'll keep his place. Barkley in 6 months probably will have RLC compete for his spot. Zappacosta while I think he's a good player isn't really better than Moses. Same situation goes with Bakayoko(although I think he'll come good and you should give a player 2 seasons to prove themselves, he just should not be getting a free pass game after game if he is playing bad).

I think we had a very small squad anyway so some of the signings make sense, only issue is that shifting some of the players will be hard. With Vidal/Matuidi type signings you can just use the clubs 1 year extension policy as a way of shifting them but who in their right mind is going to buy Drinkwater and give him 120k a week?

Both Drinkwater and Barkley were nonsensical as long term signings.

Rudiger and Bakayoko were gambles that did not pay off. Much like a Xhaka type of signing. Players that can potentially be good as unpolished diamonds. Chelsea no longer buy proven prime quality like a Ballack.
