Computing and Electronics careers

Right now I'm studying an undergraduate masters degree in Computing and Electronic engineering.

I was wondering, are there any careers that involve the two? From the top of my head I'd guess being a Hardware Engineer would? Are there any other careers where I'd be able to both program and use electronic engineering skills? Or is it typically one or the other?

Digital hardware engineer or applications engineer specialising in FPGA, ASIC and uP design projects.

The small to small-medium sized organisations probably offer more opportunity to get your hands dirty on both and sometimes simultaneously.

Large organisations with big money programmes will divide projects into work packages and you will most likely end up specialising either hardware design or software but not both.
You could consider robotics..
