Anyone taking level 3 public services to become Paramedic?

I applied to a college to do Health and social last year, and around june i was due to have my interview however a few days before my interview they cancelled the course and i was left to try and get a place in public services; which i was assured would allow me to still progress into paramedics.

However, since i applied and started the course i have been browsing many unis and not a single one accepts public services, and the course content - while mentioning paramedics a lot, and continually telling students that they can progress into a degree within it - basically focuses on the army and a little on the police.

TLDR; Has anyone doing this course managed to get accepted at a uni to do paramedics, or would i be better off changing college and course?
lmao change

Not even the army takes this qualification seriously

Yes you can. You need to apply as a 'Emergency medical advisor' or call handler for the Ambulance. Through this you can get an opportunity to go down the Paramedic route.

Possibly. I know some people who have taken a year to go through 'Emergency medical advisor' and go through the route to become 'Specialist medical advisor' etc and now the Ambulance service is allowing them to go down the route of paramedic. So it can take about one year longer, im assuming that the people I know were extremely lucky and that this might take longer in other Ambulance services, however its still possible. All I would say is you should a minimum of a Level 3 qualification to do this and that can take 2 years to achieve.
