Hi, I passed my FSAC at the end of November. My first choice is Diplomatic Economics Service and second choice is the GES. I'm told I have to pass the EAC and then do another diplomatic interview. Kind of wishing I had put GES as first choice as I still don't know when my FSB is going to be. I'm guessing the FSB is the same structure as highlighted here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/2017-government-economic-fast-stream-scheme ?

Mines on Wednesday in Newcastle, currently thinking of going for the Economics behind inequality and Poverty, more worried about the presentation if im honest!

I just want to know if everyone's presentation is the same? Mine is about free bus passes for those at the state pension age.

Pleased to say i passed the EAC yesterday! For anyone who has already passed, how long does it take to recieve the forms in the post? And what departments are people thinking of applying to?

Hi! Out of interest what specialist topic did you choose? I’m thinking of doing welfare economics, but I’m not sure if that’s too broad.

Also, I’m kinda worried about the test, because of uni exams I’m only gonna have like a week to study for it, and I feel like that’s not enough time?

How many words are people roughly writing for the report? My draft is currently 1065, and the 'clear pass' example they have on their website is something similar. I'm glad I'm able to touch type as otherwise this would be very difficult to do straight from memory.

Edit - Also, does anyone else think the suggested 10 hours is a bit ludicrous when you factor in memorising/practicing a 1000 word report (that takes considerable time) and a 10 minute presentation? I'm on well over that already...

Mine's currently around 950. Where is this 'clear pass' example on their website?? Also, in all fairness the 10 hours is only meant to be an estimate for research I think
