EPQ introduction help

I'm struggling to write the introduction for my EPQ. Could someone tell me what to include and roughly how many words it should be?

It depends on the type of EPQ you are doing and what it's about. If it's a research report or dissertation style they usually start with an Abstract (brief summary of the whole project), then maybe have an Introduction. In general, an Introduction will explain why the topic is important in general and to you. If you don't have an Abstract it could summarise what you are trying to achieve in doing the project.
