IB friend get's extremely badly underpredicted Chem Teacher

He wants to study (marine) biology, but got predicted a 4, while he needs a 6 (pretty presitigous uni's, not oxbridge, but still very good), and already applied for UCAS (obviously) and in Canada. Thing is, he get's High B's and A's, so he probably should get predicted a 6. The predicted were last updated right b4 the UCAS deadline, when he received an 88 for his midterm. It is a disgrace.

He might get his predicted updated, will it matter? And if it doesn't, what should he do?

Updated predictions can be sent to unis by the referee.
