Inverse cos graph

Please can someone help me with 6b) on this paper. I understand the reflection but don't see where the translation with pi affects the answer.. I would have moved it up by pi, so the intercept was at 3pi/2 rather than pi/2?

You reflect it in the x-axis axis, so the new intercept is -pi/2. Moving it up by pi gives pi/2 as the intercept and thus the diagram.

Wait sorry, is it reflected in the x or y axis? From the mark scheme it looks as if it's reflected in y?

If the - sign is in front of the whole function is this y or x? I keep confusing myself over the last few days!

Edit: I now get that it's reflected in the x-axis, but it just looks to me as if the diagram on the mark scheme is reflected in the y-axis?

Yes refl. in x axis + translation by pi is just another way of obtaining the graph that is a refl in y axis
