How do I find the position vector from this:
I think Im suposed to use Simultaneous equations maybe

r=(1+2p)i+(3+p)j , r=(3+u)i + (2+u)j

Oh Damn. Im so sorry. I missed out one key bit of information. This wont happen again.

The question says:

Find the position vector of the point of intersection of the following pairs of lines.

I think I have done it anyway though. I just had to equate the i and j components to each other, and solve by simultaneous equations.

Then yes, you've done it. Subbing p or q into one eq or the other yields the position vec.

yes, you just make the i bits match up and the j bits match up.
