How do I evaluate a square number when the number of times it’s being squared by is a fraction? E.G.

^=small numbers that are squaring 16

16^-3/2
Root by denominator.
Put this to the power of numerator.
Then do one over this answer as it's to the minus.

So square root 16.
Cube this answer.
Then write 1/(the answer you get).

16 to the power of a fraction is the same as the denominator root so the square root of 16 is 4.
This answer to the power of the numerator is next do 4 to the power of 3 is 64.
You then follow the usual rule when an integer is to the power of a negative and write your answer as 1/64.
