What has surprised you the most about Oxford itself?

What is your favourite area of history that you have studied?

How tricky are the exams?

How frequently do you have to do essays?
What GCSE's and A- Levels did you get?

1. Probably just the diversity of people that you meet, in terms of where they live and what they're interested in. It genuinely is a myth that Oxford is specifically for a certain 'type' of person.

2. I'm a big fan of Anglo-Saxon archaeology, and later Medieval bits

3. The exams are tough, but they're hard for everyone. It's much more difficult to 'revise' in the same manner as at school. You can never have planned a set of answers like in GCSEs/A-Levels, you have to do a lot of thinking in the actual exam.

4. Either one a week or three a fortnight
