Got 48/50 and 72/75 (although when I practised HP at home I scored 40 and under, surprisingly).

I want to know TSR's pass rates for the theory test aspect of driving because I found these shocking statistics yesterday:

Yep, passed first time too although I can't remember my exact numbers. And why the hell did it take 113 attempts for that woman?!

I was super hungover from my mate's 18th when I did it the first time and failed by 1 mark in multiple choice :// Second time I destroyed it though, 73 in hazard percep and 48 in multiple choice.

I also have a mate who's failed 10 times, no idea how lol.

I literally booked mine for next month to force myself to revise it/get it done. Is repeating tests a good way of revising the driving theory or should I go and get a book or something?

Passed first time but only just scraped through my multiple choice which I think is the area that gets most people. There were people in the test centre onto their 5th and 6th times when I did mine.

Doing mock tests is a good prep.

If you’ve a laptop/PC then you should get the official theory test disc for it.

Aced it first time with no revision. I'm slightly older than the usual 17 year old taking it though and used to be a big time cyclist so I think both those things helped (more common sense and more road sense)

Shocking statistics from the results you've posted. Surely you would give up after a while?

I did my theory test yesterday (Friday 9th Feb) and passed first time. I got 44/50 for the mulitple choice, and 65/75 for hazard perception. I didn't revise for the HP part, but as someone has mentioned above, it is mainly common sense. Using mock questions is the best way to revise.

I've still got my theory sheet, from over a year ago!

I got 48/50 on the multiple choice, and 65/75 on the hazard perception.

Yeah. First time for both parts. One minor on the practical right at the end parking because I wasn't centered in the bay at the time I turned the engine off :doh:

I sucked at parking for the first year or so though so I guess it was a good indicator.

If you take more than 5 attempts.. surely you should not be allowed to re-test for a while. For the safety of others at least. Plus that is costing you well in excess of £2000 at this point plus driving lessons and time - is it still worth it to drive?

I passed on my second attempt unfortunately. Tried to use free apps the first time around, did fine on the hazard perception but was 2 off on the multiple choice. Spent a few pounds on the 'proper app' and passed with my eyes closed as it was just a memory game at that point. Wish I did not try to be stingey in the first place! xD
