Eligibility Check

Hi I have an R.O.A. but unfortunately I have only been in the UK for 2yrs, does this mean I have to wait another year to be eligible? If so is there any other ways I could apply for a loan even with only 2yrs of being resident in the UK.

Thanks

Hi AVAtkinson,

I just need to ask a few questions in order to help you out.

What is your nationality?

Is it ROA standing for Right of Abode?

Do you have any sort of leave to remain?

Thank you,

John.

Hi AVAtkinson,

Part of the criteria for non EEA/EU/UK nationals is that they must be resident in the UK with a valid UK residency status for the 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year. Unfortunately, this means you would currently be ineligible for student finance.

Kind regards,

John.
